Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Wanderlist iOS app (“the app”). By installing or using Wanderlist, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The license

Wanderlist grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for non-commercial personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, sublicense, or sell the app.

2. Your account

You need a Wanderlist account (via Apple or Google sign-in) to use the app. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes.

3. Your content

All trip data, photos, and notes you create in Wanderlist belong to you. We don't claim any ownership over your content. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the app for you.

You're responsible for the legality of the content you upload. Don't upload anything that:

  • Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy
  • Is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors
  • Contains malware or attempts to exploit our systems

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or the law, and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Wanderlist offers three Pro tiers:

  • Weekly ($2.99/week) — auto-renewing subscription
  • Yearly ($19.99/year, 7-day free trial) — auto-renewing subscription
  • Lifetime ($39.99) — one-time purchase, non-renewing

How auto-renewing subscriptions work

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew within 24 hours before the end of the current period at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • The free trial on Yearly converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or via the Manage subscription link inside Wanderlist's Settings.
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law. Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple, not us — request them at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Lifetime purchase

The Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It does not renew. It entitles you to Pro features for as long as the app is available on the App Store and remains compatible with your device.

Free tier limits

The free tier allows you to log up to 3 distinct visited countries. To log more, a Pro tier is required.

5. Service availability

We aim to keep Wanderlist running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The app depends on third-party services (Apple, Supabase, Google) and your internet connection. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, though we'll do our best to give notice for material changes.

6. Intellectual property

Wanderlist, its design, logo, source code, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't transfer any IP to you beyond the limited license in Section 1.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free, secure, or available at any specific time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the app ends immediately. Sections 6 through 11 survive termination.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and surfaced in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Apple's standard terms

Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you.
